About

Dan Cojoc is a senior scientist at CNR-IOM since 2004. His scientific activity and skills are highly interdisciplinary.

During his career he has developed numerous advanced microscopy and spectroscopy instrumentation and techniques for applications in microscopy, nanotechnology, biophysics and neurobiology. He designed and implemented more than 20 optical tweezers microscopes and integrated them with microfluidics, X-ray diffraction, force measurement, Raman spectroscopy, holographic microscopy, laser surgery for the study of biological samples, mainly living cells in physiological conditions.

His actual main interests are: optical tweezers, digital holography microscopy, applications to cell biology and cell mechano-transduction.
