Mechanobiology Platform

This multiscale biophysical platform defines functional and dynamic traits of the host-pathogen interaction and integrates correlative electron, photon and force microscopies for capturing the sample’s morpho-mechanical biophysical details at tissue, cellular and sub-cellular level.

Cellular samples mechanics can be assessed to investigate possible deviation from usual cellular and subcellular architectures as a consequence of pathogen-induced effects, overall providing a fingerprint of molecular/morphological/biophysical aspects induced by the disease.
