Denis Rajnovic obtained Master Degree in Industrial Pharmacy at University of Rijeka, Croatia, and PhD at Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain, in Applied Microbiology. His main interest is in the field of analytical and applied microbiology and during his education, as an awarded academic guest in different laboratories (Chemical Institute; Biotechnology Department (Slovenia), Centre for Genomic Regulation; General Hospital Vall d’Hebron (Spain); ETH Zurich (Switzerland)) gained different knowledge of wet lab techniques, microbes, and equipment usage in Biosensor and Microbiology/Virology field.
From 2021 as Post-doc ICGEB-ELETTRA, Trieste, Italy fellow he is engaged in pathogen (virus) research by exploiting synchrotron-based technologies to improve pandemic preparedness and countermeasure program. From 2024 he joined Area Science Park, Trieste, Italy to continue his research related to pathogens.
