Francesca Paoletti is a Researcher at the Institute of Crystallography of CNR (IC-CNR) – Secondary Unit of Trieste. Her interests are in structural biology and biophysical analysis of proteins of medical and biotechnological interests. She has experience in the integration of different disciplines to describe molecular events from different perspectives, also in collaboration with national as well as international institutions.
She obtained her PhD in Structural and Functional Genomics at SISSA. Then, she joined EBRI in Rome and subsequently Scuola Normale in Pisa. She was visiting scientist at the University of Halle (Germany), the NIMR in London (UK), the University of Helsinki (Finland). Finally, she was a Researcher at the National Institute of Chemistry in Ljubljana (Slovenia) where she worked on biological NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) applied to studies on ligand/proteins interactions for biomedical applications.
Francesca is actively involved in science dissemination and has experience in high-school teaching, educational activities for children at science museum and developing activities directed to the general public for Trieste NEXT and the Researcher’s Night.
