About
Luisa MR Napolitano took her degree in Medical Biotechnology “cum laude” at University of Naples and then completed an Open University PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine (TIGEM) located in Naples.
She joined the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) Institute as a first post-doc where she worked on the expression, purification and crystallization of a K+ channel protein also exploring its conformational arrangement. She then moved to the Elettra Synchrotron Structural Biology Laboratory where she mainly focused on the purification of helicase proteins, involved in the DNA replication process, and their biochemical and structural characterization.
Since October 2023 Luisa works at the CNR Institute of Crystallography (IC) located at Basovizza within the Pathogen Research Infrastructure.
