After the master degree in Functional Genomics and a subsequent PhD in Medical Biomedicine at the University of Trieste, Margherita Degasperi obtained a one-year research grant at the University of Trieste in Molecular Biology.
Since three years she is a research fellow at the Laboratory of Genomics and Epigenomics (LAGE) in Area Science Park. She not only deals with laboratory activities such as sample preparation and sequencing on Illumina platforms (Novaseq and Miseq), but also with preparation of Ultra long libraries for Oxford Nanopore sequencing.
