About

Martina Conti is a postdoctoral researcher at the IOM-CNR, located in Area Science Park in Trieste. As a postdoctoral researcher in the 3M laboratories of the IOM-CNR, she works on the design and fabrication of micro- and nanostructures for different applications: (i) analysis of cell motility for the development of new anticancer drugs and on the development of cell stretchers for mechanobiological studies. In the last two years, she has been involved in the field of Cryo-microscopy and is working on the development and optimization of substrates for the characterization of biological samples using these advanced devices.

She holds a PhD in Nanotechnology from the University of Trieste. During this time, she worked on the development of new platforms and substrates for the study of cell dynamics. In particular, she learnt about micro- and nanofabrication and their application to the study of biomechanics.
