Michela Sgubin got a Master degree in Medical Biotechnology and a subsequent PhD in Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Trieste. In her doctoral studies, she dissected the molecular pathways responsible for tumor aggressive features in Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). After that, she obtained a one-year research grant at the University of Trieste studying mitochondria in a mouse hippocampal neuron culture model and gaining experience on image acquisition using confocal and Super-Resolution microscopy.
She is currently working at the Laboratory of Genomics and Epigenomics (LAGE) in Area Science Park.
