Michele Scarola obtained his Master’s Degree in “Functional genomics” at the University of Trieste, where he also achieved a PhD in “Molecular Biomedicine”.
He carried out research activities for several years at Laboratorio Nazionale CIB in Trieste studying the role of ncRNAs involved in epigenetic pathways that control stem cell biology and human cancer aggressiveness.
More recently, he worked in the field of molecular diagnostics at Alphagenics Biotech Srl, involved in research activities supporting diagnostic kits development in molecular oncology and life science fields.
He is currently working, in the context of PRP@CERIC project, in the Laboratory of Genomics and Epigenomics (LAGE) at the RIT Institute at Area Science Park.
