Intellectual Property & Market Helpdesk

Tailored Support for PRP@CERIC Community

Researchers and scientists in the PRP@CERIC community have the opportunity to obtain valuable information and guidance on intellectual property issues through the Intellectual Property & Market (IP&M) Helpdesk. The helpdesk is provided by the The PatLib Centre at Area Science Park, and its services have been designed and agreed upon with Technology Transfer Offices and IP and Research Valorisation Offices of PRP@CERIC partners.

Tailored for the PRP@CERIC community, the IP&M Helpdesk helps researchers to check the patentability of their research results and to define exploitation and valorisation strategies for their research output.

What Will a Researcher Gain from the IP&M Helpdesk?

Through the IP&M helpdesk services, PRP@CERIC scientists can learn how to transform their research results into economically viable technologies by defining their industrial potential and competitive landscape. This process may lead to patent applications and to the generation of spin-offs.

What is a PatLib Centre?

PatLib (Patent Library) Centres are patent information centres, established by agreements between National Patent Offices and the European Patent Office (EPO). They are organized as a network and operate across the EPO’s member states. The role of PatLib Centres is to disseminate information and assistance on intellectual property issues, contributing to innovation and competitive development.

The PatLib Centre at Area Science Park has been providing information and guidance on intellectual property to researchers, entrepreneurs, and students since 1999, when it was established and accredited by EPO and the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM).
