PRP@CERIC Welcomes Advisory Board Members: Five Renowned Experts to Guide Pathogen Research

We are pleased to announce that on May 6th, the inaugural meeting of the Advisory Board (AB) of the PRP@CERIC initiative took place. During this significant gathering, we had the privilege of introducing the esteemed members of the board, including distinguished academics and industry professionals, whose collective expertise in the field of scientific research and guidance will play a crucial role in shaping the direction and success of our project.

The five renowned experts belonging to the Advisory Board are the following:

  • Tatjana Avšič-Županc, Full Professor at the Institute of Microbiology and Immunology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana;
  • Lucia Banci, Full Professor and former Director of CERM, the Center of Magnetic Resonance of the University of Florence, and Head of the Italian Center of Instruct-ERIC ESFRI Research Infrastructure;
  • Rafael Cypriano Dutra, Translational Research & Toxicology Associate Director at Dompè Farmaceutici S.p.A.;
  • Marcella Origgi, Early Innovation Partner-Italy Johnson & Johnson Innovation;
  • Rosario Rizzuto, President of the National Center for Gene Therapy and Drugs based on RNA Technology and Full Professor at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, University of Padua.


Their support and insights will undoubtedly contribute to the advancement of pathogen research and the achievement of our project objectives. We look forward to their continued collaboration and invaluable contributions as we work towards our shared goals.
