Tech4EVIta Workshop 2024": A Success in Extracellular Vesicle Research

On September 18 and 19, 2024, Area Science Park hosted the Tech4EVIta Workshop, organized by the Italian Society for Extracellular Vesicles - EVIta, in collaboration with Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste and CNR-IOM.
This event gathered researchers, clinicians, and industry experts to discuss advances in technologies applied to extracellular vesicle (EV) research, a field that is becoming increasingly important in diagnostic and therapeutic applications.
Extracellular vesicles are microscopic structures released by cells that play a crucial role in cellular communication by transporting biological molecules. EVs are increasingly studied as innovative diagnostic tools and potential therapeutic carriers for personalized treatments. Central to the workshop discussions was their use in medicine, along with the integration of advanced techniques such as omics, in vitro physicochemical analyses, and functional tests both in vitro and in vivo.
The Tech4EVIta Workshop covered topics of great interest to the PRP@CERIC project, as research on extracellular vesicles aligns perfectly with the project’s goals of developing new diagnostic and therapeutic platforms to address global health challenges.
The event featured plenary sessions with international speakers, poster sessions, and networking opportunities with sector sponsors, fostering an environment for the exchange of ideas and the creation of new collaborations.
