PRP@CERIC Project Launched: €41 Million for Cutting-Edge Pathogen Research
The “Pathogen Readiness Platform for CERIC-ERIC Upgrade” (PRP@CERIC) project has officially kicked off at Area Science Park in Trieste. With a €41 million funding under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), the initiative, led by Area Science Park in collaboration with National Research Council (CNR), University of Salerno, University of Naples, and University of Salento, aims to establish a unique European research infrastructure for disease prevention and treatment. The project will focus on specialized laboratories and upgraded tools to study human, animal, and plant pathogens, employing a multidisciplinary approach. PRP@CERIC, lasting 30 months, highlights FAIR data management and sustainability.
