Imaging System for Electrophoresis and Blotting

ChemiDoc MP Imaging System

The ChemiDoc MP Imaging System is a full-feature instrument for imaging and quantifying nucleic acids and proteins in gels and western blots. It is capable of imaging fluorescent western blots (RGB, far-red, near infrared), chemiluminescent western blots, all common nucleic acid and protein gel stains, plus stain-free gels.

  • Multiple readout in chemiluminescence and fluorescence (full RGB, far red and near infrared).
  • Multiplex fluorescent western blotting: detect up to three proteins simultaneously and eliminate the need for stripping and reprobing.
  • Autofocus: precalibrated focus for any zoom setting or sample height.
  • Auto-exposure: two user-defined modes (rapid or optimal auto-exposure) for all blot and gel imaging applications.
  • Maximum image area (W x H): 21 x 16.8 cm.
  • Detector: Cooled CCD, 6 megapixels.
  • Different emission sources equipped with filters for the precise detection of fluorophores.

📍The system is located at Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste laboratories in Area Science Park.
