Chromium X Series

Chromium X is an instrument for single cell analysis based on proprietary Next GEM (gel beads in emulsion) technology. The key to this technology is the ability to generate hundreds of thousands of single cell partitions, each containing an identifying barcode for downstream analysis. The system is combined with an innovative reagent delivery system and turnkey software analysis tools.

  • Capture molecular readouts of cell activity in multiple dimensions, including gene expression, chromatin accessibility, cell surface proteins, immune clonotype, antigen specificity, and CRISPR perturbation screens.
  • Single-cell transcriptomics analysis (up to 80,000 cells per chip at standard throughput, up to 320,000 cells per chip at high throughput).
  • Ability to create NGS libraries in a range from a few hundred cells to 1 million cells on a single chip (both with high-throughput solutions for fresh samples and solutions for cells fixed in paraformaldehyde).
  • High sample recovery efficiency with a 65% uptake of the cellular input.
  • Microfluidic device capable of generating more than one million reactions with volumes of a few picoliters, coupled with approximately 4,000,000 unique molecular barcodes.
  • Software with standalone pipelines for data analysis and visualization, and open-source analysis tools for rapid processing of sequencing data obtained from commercially available sequencing systems.
