Pathogen Detection

In the fight against infectious diseases, the ability to detect pathogens quickly and accurately is crucial. We employ advanced techniques that utilise state-of-the-art spectroscopy for effective pathogen detection, which is crucial in both clinical settings and environmental monitoring. Each method offers unique advantages in the detection and management of pathogen threats, significantly improving our preparedness and preventive strategies.

📍The pathogen detection analysis are provided by SISSI Beamline and IUVS Beamline of Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste in Area Science Park.

Detection for Point of Care

Rapid and sensitive pathogen recognition using IR spectroscopy, tailored for point-of-care diagnostics. Enhance the ability to quickly identify pathogens, significantly reducing response times in therapeutic strategy development and public health interventions.
For this analysis, the instrumentation employed is the Portable Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Interferometer ALPHA II by Bruker.

Environmental and Surface Analysis

Perform environmental and surface analysis for selective pathogen detection using UV Resonant Raman Spectroscopy, crucial for monitoring and controlling pathogen spread. The instrumentation employed is a Portable Deep UV Resonance Raman & Photoluminescence Spectrometer with Microscopic Imaging.
