University of Salento

The University of Salento is a research university aiming to develop both basic and applied research. The research and development structure supporting PRP@CERIC consists of a network of research laboratories belonging to the “Ennio De Giorgi” Department of Mathematics and Physics (MATFIS), located on the Science and Technology Campus. Involved research units include the Quantum & Biotechnology Group with the Laboratory of Nanomedicine, Nanobioelectronics and Nanobiotechnology, and the Applied Physics Group.

The Laboratory of Nanomedicine, Nanobioelectronics and Nanobiotechnology (NNN) consists of an interdisciplinary structure with NanoTechnology and NanoScience competences for research and technology at the nanoscale applied to life sciences, medicine and food and environmental safety.

The Applied Physics Group (APG) carries out research in the field of Physics applied to Biology, Environmental Sciences and Medicine. The APG coordinates the activities of different laboratories of the Centre for Applied Physics and Diagnostics (CEDAD) and will support the research activities by providing expertise and technological know-how for the analysis of materials for biological and life science applications.
