Small Molecules Synthesis and Characterization

High throughput synthetic laboratory is aimed at the preparation of libraries of small molecule compounds in rapid times and gram-scale, coherent with the development of synthetic procedures DNSH (Do No Significant Harm) compliant. The synthetic laboratory is capable to synthetize 50 compounds/day exploiting green and sustainable synthetic protocols based on microwave systems, flow and electrochemical reactors.
Advanced purification equipment is available for chiral resolution and fast purification and is based on supercritical fluid chromatography coupled with benchtop Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Mass Spectrometry (MS) instruments. The entire synthetic platform is equipped with automatic and robotic systems for the speed-up of the synthetic process.

📍 The “Small molecules synthesis and characterization” facility is located at DIFARMA of the University of Salerno.
